The Beauty of a Pet

My pug is the perfect example of living a simple, peaceful and compassionate life.

Though she is afraid of sneezes and stairs, and breathes so loudly after walking more than ten minutes– all she seems to care about are the essentials: her getting fed, getting a treat or two, and that we love her.

And it’s when she rests her chin on my foot or lap and looks up at me with the biggest chocolate brown eyes that I melt and feel so full of love.

She can sleep nearly anywhere—the tile in the bathroom, on the bed, my pillow, or the couch—and you can see her, relaxed, not a care in the world.

And even when she’s being yelled at for running away from her harness or being picky when using the bathroom outside, all she has to do is look at me with those big brown eyes and her tongue out the side of her mouth, and I wonder why I could ever be angry with her.

You can learn a lot from a pet.

What put a smile on your face today?

Happy Saturday!

Ashley

P.S.– Thanks sis, for sharing this pic on your Facebook profile. This is my pup’s favorite toy, even though I think she is scared of it from time to time.
