Beautiful You: You are Strong (Devotional)

Good morning to all of you reading! I hope you had a fantastic night’s sleep. I wanted to share a quick devotional that I hope may inspire your day. 🙂

“Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

1 Corinthians 10:12-13

Such a beautiful passage. I’ve been repeating “God is faithful” quite a lot lately, and I think it’s a beautiful mantra. He is faithful. He provides the strength we need to continue on our paths to wellness. When we feel we aren’t beautiful, or worth it, remember that the temptation (negative thoughts) are not bigger than you. If we’re leaning on God’s strength, then we’re going to make it. We have the ability to make it through. Because of his strength, he has made us powerful. Stay in tune with his guidance and you will see your way out of it.

This same passage can be applied to nearly every aspect of our life. Temptations with food? We are strong enough to continue on our path to a better, and healthier, life. No bag of chips is a temptation so big we can’t get through it. No drug. No addiction. Nothing. His strength is our strength, and he provides us with it so we can, with his guidance, see our way out of it. He is faithful.

Have a beautiful, smile-filled, lighthearted day. And if you feel like praying, send up a quick prayer for all the firefighters and people affected by the terrible wildfire burning near Yosemite National Park.
